The Ultimate Tour – BRAN 2025

Bike Ride Across Nebraska.

The Charity Cases to ride in BRAN 2025

The Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) for 2025, known as BRAN 43, is scheduled for June 1–7, 2025, with the theme “Journey to the Center of Nebraska.” It starts in Oshkosh, Nebraska, and is organized by BRAN, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization aimed at providing a premier biking experience while funding scholarships for Nebraska high school students pursuing higher education.
Key Details of BRAN 43:
  • Route and Experience: The route is designed to showcase Nebraska’s Sandhills, offering both road and gravel options most days. A flex day in Burwell allows riders to explore the Calamus Reservoir loop, take a break, or engage in local activities like tubing or tanking with Calamus Outfitters. The route ensures riders can finish daily rides with time to explore host towns.
  • Logistics: BRAN is a camping tour where riders provide their own sleeping arrangements, typically tents, with camping areas arranged at high school football fields or city parks. Indoor facilities are available in case of inclement weather. Rest stops every 7–15 miles provide fruit, water, and snacks, with donations encouraged. Convenience stores, bake sales, and civic group food booths are available along the route.
  • Support and Services: Support and Gear (SAG) stops are provided, and a post-ride celebration hosted by the BRAN Crew and Omaha Pedalers Bicycle Club includes food and drinks (donations welcomed). Bike transport to the starting town is facilitated by Pork Belly Ventures, with options to hang or box bikes.
  • Community and Volunteering: The event is supported by a dedicated volunteer committee and sponsors, keeping registration costs low. Volunteers, including riders’ family members, are encouraged to assist for the full week or specific days. Sponsorships help fund scholarships and support riders who might not otherwise afford the ride.
  • Food and Entertainment: Host towns offer breakfast and dinner options (at cost), including buffets, potlucks, and local restaurants. Riders can enjoy local entertainment or relax after daily rides. A Tour Guide provides details on food and points of interest.
BRAN emphasizes affordability, community, and a unique Nebraska biking experience, supported by volunteers and sponsors. For more details or to get involved, contact the leadership team at bicyclerideacrossnebraska@gmail.com.
